Siobhan Conaty, Ph.D.

- Siobhan Conaty is an Associate Professor of Art History Her area of research is focused primarily on the modern era, with topics spanning from Art and Medicine, the Irish Renaissance, and gender issues in twentieth century Italian and American art. Her writings have appeared in a range of scholarly journals as well as newspapers. Her research has been supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), the J. Paul Getty Research Institute, and the American Academy in Rome.
Dr. Conaty also serves as an Academic Associate to The La Salle University Art Museum where she most recently wrote the catalog essay “Religious Mysticism and Symbolist Art” for the 2013 exhibit Strategic Ambiguity: The Obscure, Nebulous, and Vague in Symbolist Prints.
