Profile
A native of the Jersey shore, Andrea earned her Ph.D. from Rutgers University, her M.A. from American University, and her B.A. from Montclair State College. Before coming to La Salle, Andrea taught at Rutgers, Montclair State University, and William Paterson University. She also has extensive work experience in corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors.
Andrea has taught classes in organizational communication, public relations, interpersonal communication, communication theory, communication and conflict, public speaking, mass media, and research methods. Her primary areas of interest are organizational and interpersonal communication, and her current research focuses on the effectiveness of colleges in in addressing the concerns of specific stakeholder groups.
Andrea is an active member in both the National Communication Association and Eastern Communication Association. When not at school, Andrea enjoys spending her free time at the beach, attempting yoga, or rowing on the Schuylkill River. She also enjoys reading and attending the theater, as well as exploring the areas in and around Philadelphia.
