MA in English

Five-Year Option

La Salle undergraduate students who are English majors or Secondary Education/English majors may apply for “Graduate Standing” at the end of their junior year, provided they have completed at least 24 undergraduate English credits, have maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA, and submit at least two recommendations from undergraduate English professors familiar with their work.  If their applications are approved by the English Admissions Committee, such students may take up to two 500 level graduate English courses (6 credits) during their senior year. These two graduate courses, when combined with two summer graduate courses following graduation and six credit hours each subsequent term (Fall, Spring, and Summer), would allow these students to complete all requirements for the M.A. in English by the summer of the fifth year.
