Every student in La Salle University’s Graduate programs is required to maintain a cumulative GPA of “B” (3.0). Therefore, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required to earn the M.A. in T&I. A student who, at any time, falls under this standard is automatically in academic jeopardy, and is subject to academic review by the Director of the program. Failure to meet the GPA requirements, within the allotted time, may result in dismissal from the program.
In order to earn the M.A. in T&I, students must successfully complete all 15 required courses (45 credits in total). There are no electives in this program.
The maximum period of candidacy spent in pursuit of the M.A. in T&I is 7 years from the date a student begins to take his/her first course. The Director, at his/her sole discretion, will consider special “leave of absence” requests due to unforeseen/extraordinary circumstances. If a leave of absence is granted (for no more than one year), it will not count against the maximum period of candidacy of 7 years.
