My company, Rustici Software, is currently leading the way in supporting the next generation of learning standards through their work with the Tin Can API. This includes writing the initial spec, making all of their products Tin Can conformant, and helping the greater community to adopt the Tin Can API.

I also serve as an online adjunct professor in the Instructional Technology Management as well as the Human Capital Development programs at La Salle University, as well as at Manor Junior College and Colorado Technical University.

I earned my Bachelors in Sociology from LaSalle University, my Masters in Education from Temple University and I am currently a candidate for Ph.D. in Education, with a specialization in Instructional Design for Online Learning at Capella University.

I am an accomplished author, speaker and educator with a strong practice in instructional design for technologies and specific expertise in how people learn. I have proven ability to lead a team, to manage projects, as well as develop strategies and curriculum. I am proficient in all areas of instructional design for online learning, I supply ID services from the needs analysis to application design, development, implementation and evaluation. Currently, I am the Director of the Graduate Program in Instructional Technology Management at La Salle University. My prior experience includes being a Senior Scientist, Management Consultant, Director of IT, VP Software Development, Sales and Marketing Representative, and Educator. My education includes a BA from Waynesburg College, MA from West Virginia University, MS from Lehigh University and PhD from Capella University.

I am a career workplace learning professional with nearly 30 years’ experience in the field. I founded a consulting practice, Learning 4 Learning Professionals, dedicated to supporting the professional development of designers, facilitators, learning consultants, and learning leaders. I also teach adult learning and instructional design courses in several graduate programs, including LaSalle’s. Having worked in leadership roles in corporate learning and development for 20+ years, I understand the challenges of our day to day work.

I earned a doctoral degree in Human and Organizational Learning from George Washington University, and has authored several published articles.

I have been employed by the Rohm and Haas Company, now Dow Chemical, for 20+ years. While at Rohm and Haas, I have held many positions in the Content Management areas. My most recent work with Dow has been in their R&D organization in the Information Research Group.

In my role at Rohm and Haas and Dow, I have created learning materials in a variety of blended formats including online, classroom, and video to meet the needs of various audiences. As learning technologies developed and evolved over the years, I became intrigued with ways to integrate these new technologies into training programs. To satisfy my curiosity, I enrolled in the Instructional Technology Management Program at LaSalle University. I completed the ITM program earning my Masters of Science degree in August of 2010.

I currently assist the dean of arts and sciences in overseeing educational activities, represent the dean in the Dean’s absence, and assume a leadership role in such areas as curricular, faculty and student development, academic affairs, and resource development.  I participate in school initiatives, such as strategic planning and international programs, seek to enhance science and technology in schools, assists in coordinating the school’s undergraduate and graduate programming and administration, and assists in budget and grant seeking processes. I also teach in the Mathematics and Computer Science Department at La Salle University.

I am currently the founder and President of Targeted Performance Solutions, LLC (TPS), a management consulting firm of senior level practitioners dedicated to helping organizations enhance performance and bottom-line results, and create and sustain their desired culture at the individual, team, and organizational levels. I earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior, a Masters of Public Health in health planning and evaluation, and a Masters in Individual and Group Psychodynamics each from the University of Pittsburgh. I am also trained in Lean Six Sigma.

I have over thirty years of experience as a management consultant, senior human resources professional and executive coach. My areas of expertise include: executive coaching, leadership & management development; team effectiveness and team optimization; organization structure, process and systems alignment including human capital management; and large-scale change management. For the past twenty-five years, I served as an adjunct professor in the Human Resource Development Program of Villanova University’s Graduate School. I am also an Affiliated Faculty in the Graduate Program for Organizational Dynamics at the University of Pennsylvania.
