New students can start fall, spring, or summer semesters.
Do I have to have all the required documents into the graduate nursing office before I can start taking classes?
You can start taking classes as a conditional acceptance by completing your application, providing a photocopy of your RN license and having a transcript sent indicating that a BSN was awarded. You may take up to three courses as a conditional student.
When are the classes?
Classes are mainly offered in the late afternoon and evening.
Can I take classes at any of the four sites where they are offered?
As an enrolled student you may take classes at any of our sites and our multiple sites offer greater flexibility as to course availability.
Do I have to take standardized tests?
Only the MSN/MBA track requires GMAT testing for full acceptance. Please see the admission policy and requirements concerning GPA.
Can I work full time and go to school?
While taking the core and advanced core courses, it is possible to maintain full time employment and most of our students do. When taking the track specific courses with the required field work component, it becomes more of a challenge. Arrangements for clinical experiences are a mutual process with the faculty and students. While there are some field experiences possible in the evening and on weekends, some clinical experiences are only available during the week and during the day. All the individual track coordinators are available for advising and help students plan for the clinical courses.
What kind of financial aid is available?
We have Federal nursing traineeships, University Graduate Assistantships and information on other scholarship opportunities on our web site under Resources.
