Autism Conference: Building Bridges for Transitions and Risk Management

The 8th annual Autism Conference: Building Bridges for Transitions and Risk Management will be held Saturday, April 26th, 2014 from 8 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. at La Salle University in the Union Building at 1900 West Olney Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19141. This is one of the region’s largest and most prestigious autism conferences. This year’s keynote speaker is Dennis Debbault, a leading expert on autism-related law enforcement and public safety interactions. There will also be workshops, an ASD law and advocacy roundtable, and interactive breakout sessions moderated by leading behavioral, legal, and education professionals along with parents, advocates, and others.

WANTED: Student Speaker Commencement 2013

Students completing graduate programs will have a similar opportunity to compete for the honor of delivering an address during the Graduate Program Commencement Ceremony to be held on Friday, May 17, 2013.

Click on the following link: http://studentaffairs.lasalle.edu/commencement/graduate-student-speaker/ and follow the directions for graduate students and submit a speech by Friday, March 15, 2013.  Members of the selection committee will then review unidentified copies of the speeches and they will determine the final pool of students to be invited for in-person auditions which will take place on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 6-7:30PM in the Rodden Theater. Students will be notified as early as possible if they are among those selected for auditions.
