The world of health care is complex and ever-evolving, resulting in a growing need for professionals and leaders in the field of health promotion and disease prevention. La Salle’s Health Studies program allows students to explore the broad range of careers available in the health-care industry, from small private practices to nonprofit agencies to large urban hospitals.
In this program, students are challenged to think about practical and realistic ways they can contribute to improving the quality of life for individuals and communities around the nation and across the globe. In class, scientific theories, facts, and principles are integrated with lessons on health promotion, restoration, and maintenance strategies to prepare students to apply a holistic model of health care in a variety of settings.
