Attention Student Film Makers!

This is your chance to be recognized and be awarded for your talent as the Young Broadcasters and the Film Society bring you the 2009 Charlie Film Festival!

What we need: make a short film (5 minutes) or a long film (15 minutes) of any genre.

2008 Charlie Film Awards...

The Charlie Film Festival that was held Sunday, February 24th was a success. Thanks to the hard work of the Young Broadcasters headed by Kimberly Davidow and The Film Society headed by Eric Donovan. Before the festivities, a dinner was held at the Union Ballroom to celebrate the talents of the filmmakers who participated this year. Then the film showing followed. The audience was enthusiastic as every film debuted on the big screen.

Winners are as follows:
Best Ensemble Cast: Lost ID (Directed by Emily Brennan)
Best Editing: Dueling Elevators (Directed by Emily Brennan)
Best Cinematography: Moon Over Asbury (Directed by: Matt Szczerbienski)
Best Screenplay: Best Friends Forever (Directed by: Matt Szczerbienski)
Best Overall: Lost ID (Directed by: Emily Brennan)

Bro. Gerry Molyneaux awarded, courtesy of an alumni, $150 each to Emily Brennan and Matt Szczerbienski who both won for Best Director.

The La Salle community expresses its congratulations to the winners and all the talented filmmakers who participated this year. The Young Broadcasters, The Film Society extends its appreciation to everyone who made this event a success.
