More La Salle 56 Producers Win Broadcast Pioneers Scholarship
La
Salle 56's Kimberly Davidow and Gabriella Sacidor were among ten local
college students selected for this year's Annual Broadcast Pioneers Scholoarship
Award presented by the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia. Kim is a producer/host
for both Your News Update and Backstage Pass. Gabby is a
producer/host for Q&A.

Focus
on Philly, hosted by Matt DeLucia ('07), has won the 2007 PA Association
of Broadcasters Award for Outstanding Public Affairs Program/Series. Focus
on Philly takes a look at the social and economic issues facing
Philadelphians. The show airs Mondays at 5:30pm and Tuesdays at 11pm on
La Salle 56.

Interns & Networks at Cannes Film Festival

Communication major and La Salle 56's Q&A producer Stephanie
Viano was recently an intern at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival in France.
When she wasn't working at the event, Viano made contacts in the film
industry, did a little celebrity watching, and attended four red carpet
screenings. Shown
here, Stephanie is with former Vice-President, Al Gore at the world premiere
of his environmental film, "An Inconvenient Truth."

Student, Torino Intern Awarded Broadcast Pioneers Scholarship
Communication major and La Salle 56 producer, Brandon
Davidow, was recently selected to be a 2006 recipient of a Broadcast Pioneer
Scholarship. Davidow, who worked as an intern for NBC's coverage of the
Winter Olympics in February, was selected from a record number of applicants,
along with fellow peer recipients from Rowan University, Temple University,
University of Delaware and Cabrini College.
The students will receive a $1500 scholarship Wednesday, April 19, 2006
at The Bala Country Club, where the guest speaker for the event will be
Caroline Foy Welch, VP of Programming, Channel 6.
Davidow joins fellow Lasallians, Matt DeLucia '07 and Ben Rosehart '06,
who are recent awardees of the scholarship. Both DeLucia and Rosehart,
accepted the honor in 2005. Click

La Salle Com Majors Win Broadcast Pioneers Scholarship
Matt DeLucia of La Salle University, Producer for La Salle's cable TV
station and Benjamin Rosehart of La Salle Univeristy, Executive Producer
were among six local college students selected for this year's Annual
Broadcast Pioneers Scholoarship Award presented by the Broadcast Pioneers
of Philadelphia.
DeLucia and Rosehart will be honored along with the four other award recipients
at the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia monthly luncheon on Wednesday,
April 20, 2005 at The Bala Country Club.

to Work as NBC Interns at Winter Olympics!
Twelve La Salle University Communications majors will be working as NBC
interns at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy during February.
Only six universities nationwide were invited to participate in the internship
program with NBC: La Salle University, Syracuse University, George Washington
University, The University of North Carolina, Ithaca College and Iona

Spends Summer As TV Reporter for NJN's 'NJ Works'
Matt DeLucia, Commmunication major, class of 2007, is getting real-world
experience this summer as a reporter for NJN Public Television on the
show, NJ Works.
"This was a great and exciting opportunity offered to me when a producer
caught my show on La Salle 56. The apprenticeship allows me to go beyond
a traditional internship and get on-air experience via broadcasts in NJ,
PA, DE, and NY, " said Delucia.
If you would like to catch Matt "on-air," he will be appearing
this Wednesday and every other following Wednesday. . The show airs at
6:30 PM and he will come on about 10 minutes into the show and again approximately
5-10 minutes later. The re-broadcast of the show can be seen on Saturday's
at 9 AM. Please consult your local listings for the channel in your service
