Beginning December 9, 2011, the Connelly Library will be implementing a new building access policy. The details of the new access policy are provided below:
CONNELLY LIBRARY – BUILDING ACCESS POLICY
La Salle University Faculty, Staff, Students, and Alumni have access to the Connelly Library during all “Open Hours” as listed on the library web site (http://www.lasalle.edu/library).
Neighborhood Residents that live in the zip code areas of 19138, 19141 and 19144 may have access to the library when open, but only prior to 5:00 p.m. daily. No access into the library is permitted for area residents after that time.
FACULTY, STAFF STUDENTS, AND ALUMS
La Salle University ID card must be presented to the security officer assigned to the lobby desk for inspection prior to entering the library.
• If a La Salle University affiliate does not have their La Salle University ID card in their possession, they must present another form of photo ID card to the security officer, in addition to signing-in at the desk (Signing-in includes providing your name, La Salle University ID number and your on-campus or local address).
• If a La Salle faculty, staff or student does not have a valid La Salle University ID card, they may obtain one at the University’s Gold Card Office. (Located in the basement of the Student Union Building)
Only those residents that reside in zip codes 19138, 19141, and 19144 are eligible to register for Connelly Library usage privileges. Guests must adhere to the following guidelines:
• To access the library, an area resident must provide photo ID to the security officer at the desk. Or, a combination of documents which includes a photo ID and a supporting document that has the person’s name and address with one of the zip codes noted (19138, 19141 or 19144).
• Authorized residents may only enter and use the library prior to 5:00 p.m. No admittance will be permitted after that time.
**** Children under the age of 15 are not permitted entrance to the building unless accompanied by an adult. Children under 15 years of age but participating in the neighborhood tutoring program must be accompanied by an adult for admittance and the entire distance to the Library’s Lower Level.****
