the Collection |
The library's circulating collection
is located on the 2nd Floor, 3rd Floor,
and the 3rd Floor Mezzanine. Class
materials kept on Reserve may be checked
out at the Circulation Desk. Reference
books, annual reports, magazines,
newspapers, bound periodicals, and
microform cannot be checked out and
do not leave the library. |

| Building
Access |
Building access is unrestricted during
normal daytime operating hours and
all day Friday and Saturday. Building
access is restricted after 4:00 PM
Sunday through Thursday, except periods
when the library closes at 5:00. To
gain access to the library during
restricted hours students must present
a valid La Salle University ID card
or be a registered student at the
University, faculty are expected to
present a valid La Salle ID card,
alumni are expected to present a library
card, area residents must have a library
card in order to enter the building,
high school students may enter by
presenting their library card (those
who have forgotten their card may
present their high school ID card
for access and must sign in on the
visitors registration log, and faculty
from PALCI institutions may present
either a library card or a letter
from their institution requesting
borrowing privileges. |

| Informal
Study Area |
The informal study area is located
on the lower level of the Connelly
Library immediately downstairs to
the left of the main entrance. This
area is seperate from the main Library
area and the Libarry collection. This
is an area designated for individuals
interested in studying alone or in
groups and provides a less formal
study setting than the Library itself.
Vending machines are located in this
area. |

| Quiet
Study Area |
The Third Floor and Mezzanine have
been designated as quiet areas. Individuals
found conversing in these areas will
be asked to move to another floor.
Also, the volume on headphones should
be kept low so that it does not disturb
others on the floor. In other areas,
patrons are expected to maintain a
level of conversation that does not
disturb other users. |
