The Connelly Library Department of Digital Services is located on the 2nd floor of the library, within the 4 room suite of Special Collections. Services available to the La Salle community include:
Digitization and scanning services:We have a Epson 10000XL flatbed scanner and a Sony digital SLR camera mounted to a copystand to create digital materials in support of teaching and research. If appropriate scanning equipment is not available in house, we will work with different departments on campus or outside vendors to get your materials digitized.
Web access:We can place your digitized materials in our digital asset management system, allowing for access via the web and through sites like WorldCat and Wikipedia.
Digital Preservation:Want to ensure the longevity of your digital masters? We can manage your digital files by creating preservation metadata and housing them for the longterm in our digital preservation system.
The Media / Digital Services Librarian, Samantha Slade, is available by appointment to discuss how the department can contribute to the long-term success of your digital projects. Contact her at 215-951-1965 or slade@lasalle.edu.
