How do I renew my books?

Books may be renewed twice and must be renewed prior to the due date. You may renew your books online or in person at the Connelly Library Circulation Desk.

In Person Material must be renewed no later than
one day before the due date. Material may be renewed in person at the
Connelly Library Circulation Desk. Renewal over the phone is not
permitted. Any borrower may renew their books, however, you will be
unable to renew material if you have a block on your record. the
following conditions also apply. Requests for renewal of interlibrary
loan materials must be made through the ILL Department (X-1287).

  1. Overdue items may only be renewed at the circulation desk.
  2. If a fine on your account is more than $5.00, you will need to pay the fine before you renew.
  3. There is a limit of two renewals for most material.
  4. Items that have been recalled or put on hold for other patrons cannot be renewed.
  5. Any materials borrowed from the Audio-Visual Department cannot be renewed online.
  6. Reserve materials cannot be renewed online.
  7. Requests for renewal of interlibrary loan materials must be made through the ILL Department (X-1287).

Online

  1. Select the Library Catalog from the Library’s Homepage.
  2. Select “View Your Circulation Record”.
  3. Enter your name and the bar code from your ID or borrowers card.
  4. Select the link for “Items Currently Checked Out”.
  5. Select “Renew All” or you may select specific items by checking the
    box in the review column that appears to the left of each item and then
    select “Renew Selected Items”.

Items will not renew online on or after
the due date stamped on the item. If you wait until the due date to
renew, you must bring the material in to the Library for renewal.
