Thanks to everyone who responded to the WiFi questionnaire. An entirely new set of routers and cabling will be installed by IT over summer 2013. This should go a long way in resolving many of the dead space problems that have interfered with WiFi coverage in the library.
It was also discovered that the most recent slowness was a result of “address pool depletion” on the network.
Adjustments have been made and WiFi coverage should improve immediately.
