NEW CHRISTOPHER MORLEY COLLECTION

Special Collections received a donation of materials related to the Bryn Mawr native author, Christopher Morley, 1890 - 1957. Appraised at $73,000, this primarily monographic collection consists of many 1st, signed and limited editions of many of Morley's works. Additionally, the 275 volume set contains several books by other authors to which Morley wrote the introduction, including works by and about Arthur Conan Doyle and Rudyard Kipling. Novelties of the collection are cookbooks featuring recipes contributed by Morley, as well as catalogs from exhibitions of his personal rare book collection.
