Profile
Management Professor William Van Buskirk received his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Case Western Reserve in Cleveland. He has an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Cleveland State University and a B.A. in English from La Salle University. His teaching and research interests lie in the area of Organizational Culture. He currently teaches the Strategy capstone course to undergraduates and MBA students.
From 1985 to 1988 Van Buskirk was a consultant to several companies in Japan. His clients included The Project Management Institute, The Engineering Advancement Society of Japan and the Canon Corporation. From 1996 to 2000 he was a Senior Fellow at the Urban Partnership Society, an organization sponsored by the Ford Foundation.
Van Buskirk has extensive experience in conducting management seminars in areas related to Organizational Culture and Management. He has won several awards for his scholarly papers including a best paper award from the Academy of Management. His book of poems, This Wild Joy that Thrills Outside the Law has recently won the Joie de Vivre Poetry Contest. It will be published in the Winter of 2011.
