Minor Requirements

The Department offers two approaches for a minor in Political Science.  Most students choose from a series of concentrated minors composed of thematically-linked courses. The Department strongly encourages students to consider choosing these minor concentrations of grouped upper-division courses to enhance their individual career objectives and bolster their résumés. Individual adjustments to these concentrated minors can be arranged with approval of the Department Chair. Alternatively, students may continue to take the traditional POL minor, which includes POL 151, American Government, and any other five POL courses, except for POL 460, 461, 480, and 481.
