Chartered Financial Analyst Designation

The Investment and Financial Analysis (IFA) track is designed with the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in mind. The CFA is the premier certification for a career in financial services.  CFAs are finance professionals specializing in security analysis and portfolio management.  La Salle offers a unique, targeted program providing students with the ability to take the CFA I Exam in June of their graduation year.

The Investment and Financial Analysis track’s capstone course, FIN 483 Senior Seminar, includes:

3 mock exams
Each exam is 6 hours in length – taken on Saturdays. Students take exam 1 at the beginning of course to assess their individual needs, and take exam 2 at the end of course to highlight areas of further study. Students take exam 3 two weeks before CFA exam to fine-tune your knowledge base.

13 Classes
These offer a review of practice exam results and review core material.

At home
Students practice exam questions each week (2-3 hrs.per wk) and review exam materials (1-2 hrs. per wk).

The national pass rate for the CFA I exam is 33%. CFA II and III exams have higher pass rates. Our IFA Track is designed to significantly increase the pass rate through structured instructional design focusing on the study of core material, test- taking strategies, and career options.
