Royal Roads University International Case Competition (undergraduate)
March 2012 will mark our second team to compete in the Royal Roads University International Case Competition in British Columbia, Canada. The competition strives to bridge the gap between corporate and academic worlds, and is an opportunity for students to display their analytical and presentation skills under high pressure situations. The competition is designed to motivate university and college students to strive for the highest level of business professionalism through relevant, spirited competition.
The Case Competition format is a round-robin tournament consisting of five business cases. Teams of four junior/senior business majors apply their analytical, decision-making and communication skills to the issues raised in the cases, which they have not seen before. Teams then present strategic choices and a detailed plan of action to a panel of business executives. Teams are assessed on creativity, insight and real world applicability of their analysis and presentations. The teams will be given three hours to analyze each case and create a PowerPoint presentation.
