The University was established in 1863. Adult students have been taking classes since 1946. More than 10,000 adult students have graduated from La Salle University.
Most College of Professional and Continuing Studies students work full-time, managing professional careers with challenges that come with busy families. Students, who range in age from their 20s to their 70s, attend College of Professional and Continuing Studies programs.
The average age of a La Salle College of Professional and Continuing Studies student is 32.
Full-time faculty members from La Salle University provide their expertise in our classrooms. In addition to following the Lasallian mission, we seek out highly regarded professionals in their fields who are dedicated to teaching and provide cutting-edge, practical experience and networking opportunities.
The College of Professional and Continuing Studies offers courses at La Salle University's Main Campus, at the Bucks County Center in Newtown Pennsylvania at the Metroplex in Plymouth Meeting Pennsylvania, and at several other locations in Southeast Pennsylvania. In addition, graduate programs are offered in three locations outside the U.S.: an M.B.A. in Basel, Switzerland, and an M.A. in Professional Communication in Prague, Czech Republic, and Athens, Greece.
Several courses are offered as hybrids, combining the best of online and in-class instruction.
Various types of course formats
The College of Professional and Continuing Studies offers its courses in a variety of formats, from one-day workshops to 14-week courses. Courses are offered on weekends and in the evenings. Some courses meet during the Winter and August intersessions to accelerate learning and fit the needs of our adult students.
The College of Professional and Continuing Studies works in partnership with a variety of corporations, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to design customized education and training programs to meet their needs. Expert instructors bring customized courses directly to the workplace for an immediate impact.
Financial aid and tax credit opportunities

College of Professional and Continuing Studies courses are open to everyone, regardless of previous educational background. For most courses, all you need is the desire to learn.

The Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Commission on Recognition of Post-secondary Accreditation.
