Weston, '02, returned to La Salle University on December 3 to speak with the senior social work majors about careers in social work with Philadelphia’s Department of Human Services. Weston, a supervisor of social workers with DHS, talked about the challenges and rewards of using a social work education to work with families of abused and neglected children. After her presentation, she answered questions about career opportunities and the undergraduate preparation needed for working in child welfare services.
