General Exams
There are three General Examinations acceptable at La Salle University: Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences and History. The Social Science and History and the Natural Sciences CLEP exams may only be taken by students prior to achieving a total of 30 credits. The Humanities CLEP exam may be taken by students regardless of the number of earned credits. Each is approximately 90 minutes long and is made up of multiple-choice questions. A score of 50 is required.

| Humanities covers material taught in introductory literature and fine arts survey courses, includes questions on drama, poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, as well as on painting, sculpture, music, film, dance, and architecture. |

| Natural Sciences covers material taught in introductory biological and physical science courses for nonscience majors. Includes topics such as classification of organisms, evolution, genetics, organisms, cells, ecology atomic and nuclear structure, chemical elements, thermodynamics, classical mechanics, electricity, astronomy, and geology. |
