Welcome to La Salle University’s graduate certificate in Strategic Communication Management program!
A recent study conducted by the Public Relations Society of America (see summary of research results) reveals that 9 in 10 Business Leaders admit executives need training in core communication disciplines. La Salle University, with an innovative and targeted program offer, seeks to fill that void.
The program is designed for both communication specialists and line managers determined to learn the concepts and techniques of strategic communication management.
Risk analysis, stakeholder monitoring and analysis, issues management, long-term strategic planning and the development of effective communication strategies and plans, conflict management, crisis communication, ethics, sustainability, corporate social responsibility and how to use social media in the communication process are core themes and topics to be addressed by this certificate course.
This graduate certificate program is offered at the Basel Chamber of Commerce. Each student completes six courses over a seven month period beginning in late April. The program is scheduled for weekend studies to accommodate the needs of working professionals, enabling them to continue advancing in their career while simultaneously pursuing advanced certification.
Each month (with the exception of the month of July), students take one course. Classes for most courses take place on two consecutive Fridays and Saturdays each month for a total of 34 in-class hours for each course.
