Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Soup Kitchen, Neighborhood Tutoring, Habitat for Humanity, AIDS Outreach, Circle K, and Best Buddies are just some of the organizations that Arts and Sciences students are involved with. Senior Mary Tramel describes La Salle as, “dedicated to community service and the betterment of the community in and around La Salle…and I am proud to be a part of it.”

There’s even a Community Service Scholarship, offered to incoming freshman. The Community Service Scholars are required to participate in community service projects and organizations while at La Salle. “What eventually won me over to La Salle was the offering of the Community Service Scholarship. It was a good opportunity to do community service, but also to receive money toward my education,” admits Junior Kaylin Morrissey.

Natalie Choy is a Political Science major who regularly volunteers at the local soup kitchen. She says, “The amount of compassion that we all have for each other and the fact that we are so interested in each others’ lives is what makes LaSalle unique…here it really is one for all and all for one!”
