La Salle COM Instructor, Masque Director, Develops Course for Attorneys
When Celeste Walker is not teaching in the Communication Department or directing performances for the Masque at La Salle ("Cabaret"),she will be teaching lawyers to act at the Wilma Theater in Philadelphia.

The objective of the course is to teach attorneys "how to use acting techniques to improve performance in the courtrooom." According to Walker, stage actors and attorneys have a lot in common. They both work in front of an audience; they both depend on their voices and bodies as the instrument to send their message; they both tell a story and pursue their objective [and] they both need to exhibit clear intention and the skill to persuade and overcome obstacles.

Participation in the course can be used to receive continuing education credits for the Pennyslvania Bar Association.
