Dr. Francis Ryan, Director of the American Studies major at La Salle, was quoted in the June 1st edition of the Washington Post. The article, "For More Schools, Teaching Morals Is Right" written by Post staff writer Valerie Strauss, focused on the reemergence of "character education."
Ryan, along with a University of Pennsylvania faculty member, represented the professional opinion at the collegiate level among those interviewed for the article. Dr. Ryan spoke of the impact the 1960's had on character and behavior.
