Two Collegian Editors Get Accepted to Columbia!
Collegian editors Tom Namako and Tim McManus received word that they had both been accepted for the graduate journalism program at Columbia University, while on a class trip to visit the New York Offices of the Associated Press and to meet with President and CEO Thomas Curley, '70.

In the afternoon the class gathered at the headquarters of Inc. magazine and were greeted by editor Loren Feldman. During the lunch break, Tom called his house and had his mother open the envelope with the acceptance. Tim followed suit.

Decisions...
Both Communication majors were also accepted at University of Missouri. While Tim was also accepted to Northwestern, Tom was accepted to the programs at Syracuse and NYU. Now both must choose from among some of the top-ranked journalism schools in the country.
