News from the Communication Department
  • The Kanawha Players in Charleston, West Virginia just produced COM faculty member Bill Wine's play "Rave Review," a play about a disgruntled actress exacting revenge on a critic who has severely panned her work in reviews. The play was part of their Halloween-themed programming.
  • Formerly news and sports reporters at ABC's WHTM-TV in Harrisburg, Dennis Owens '84 and Scott Schaffer '84 have taken different paths to the same job. Both now anchor the seven o'clock news, Dennis at WHTM-TV and Scott at WNEP-TV, also an ABC affiliate in Scranton.
  • Having completed her law degree at West Virginia University School of Law and the bar exams, Natalie Karelis '00 is now serving with the Army JAG Corps in Kuwait. and will soon join the Brigade Operational Law Team (BOLT) for the 130th Engineer Brigade stationed in Iraq. She will be advising the command on all area of law and military justice.
