Since graduating from La Salle in May '04, Fanta Waterman has been completing a year of service as an Americorps VISTA (Volunteer In Service To America) at the Environmental Protection Agency's Region III office in Philadelphia, PA. Her service year will officially end on July 29, 2005.
Waterman, who plans to begin graduate study this fall, has had some interesting options to consider in terms of her education. She was accepted to the University of Michigan's School of Public Health, and was also offered a funded research assistantship with the University of Washington's School of Public Health and Community Medicine.
Weighing her options, Waterman has chosen to accept a NIOSH traineeship at the University of Illinois at Chicago's School of Public Health, where she will pursue a M.S. degree in Environmental and Occupational Health Science. |
