On January 10th, Assistant Provost, Dr. Sabrina De Turk and Director of Distributed Education, Jo Anne Snarponis held an eLearning Visioning Session in the Dunleavy room to discuss trends, issues that impact the online learning process at La Salle and strategic goals for future development.
Participants included faculty representation from all three schools, members of the Provost Office, Student Affairs, Continuing Studies, Media Services, Distributed Education (Web CT), Information Technology and Portal Communications (mylasalle). Topics of discussion regarding the vision of eLearning for the University consisted of the following:
- faculty development
- practical issues/resources
- student learning
- technology (hardware/software) and support
