Alumni News From the Communication Department...
  • The National University of Ireland, at Galway, has announced that Brendan T. Kelly, '05, has been accepted into the MA program at their John Huston School of Film and Digital Media. Brendan is among the only fourteen students worldwide accepted into this prestigious program subsidized by the Huston Foundation.
  • Earle Hitchner '73, just completed his Master's Degree in Writing at CUNY. He continues to teach writing at both Lehman University and Marist College and published articles about Irish music in Irish Echo , a newspaper published in New York.
  • Public Relations firm, FCF Schmidt recently hired Michelle Bauer '06, who was the first winner of the Brother Gerry Molyneaux Scholarship.
  • Darren Baker '02 has received his master's degree in Education from Wilmington College (Delaware) and will begin teaching in the middle schools of the West Chester school district this fall. During the summer, Darren assists his dad, Dan, the public address announcer at the Phillies and the Eagles games.
  • Meredith Marakovits, recently signed on as part of the WPEN-950AM morning team. She'll be their correspondent for the Eagles, Sixers, Flyers, etc. She also remains a reporter for tv2 Sports in Allentown.
  • Brenda Moyer Cullen '89 is the 2006 winner of the Mrs. District of Columbia honors and is a finalist in this year's Mrs. America Pageant. Brenda is the wife of Collin Cullen, M.D., '89.
  • Paul V Palaruan, '02, was recently promoted to Technical Director at CNN in Washington, DC.
