Renowned Irish Playwright, Novelist, Poet to Read at La Salle
The Department of English presents a reading by the renowned Irish playwright, novelist, and poet, Sebastian Barry. On Monday, March 20, at 1:00 in the Dan Rodden Theatre, Barry will read from his recent writing.

Barry is the author of a number of critically acclaimed plays, including The Steward of Christendom (Critics' Circle Award for Best New Play), Prayers of Sherkin, Our Lady of Sligo, Hinterland, and Whistling Psyche. His most recent novel, A Long Long Day, was the 2005 runner-up for the prestigious Booker Prize for literature.

At present, Barry is a Writer-in-Residence at Villanova University.
