Jacqueline Pastis, Associate Professor of Religion, was delighted to dine with La Salle study abroad students in Rome in mid November. Dr. Pastis was in Rome to research medieval Greek manuscripts at the Vatican Library. The Vatican Library holds 75,000 manuscripts, the most famous of which is Codex Vaticanus, the oldest known manuscript of the Bible. The Vatican Library is a research library for history, law, philosophy, science, religion, and theology, and is open to anyone who can document their qualifications and their research needs to view the collection. |
