Dr. Geffrey B. Kelly, Chairperson, Department of Religion, is the featured speaker at the annual Black Ministers of Los Angeles Conference, May 7th and 8th. Dr. Kelly's theme is "Christian Ordination as a Ministry of Service and Reconciliation in the Life and Theology of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Martyr of the German Resistance Movement Against Nazism."
In April, Dr. Kelly addressed a Lenten Adult Education Forum at the Overbrook Presbyterian Church on the topic of "The Challenge of Christian Faith in the Life and Writings of Dietrich Bonhoeffer"and was also a guest lecturer at the Lutheran Theological Seminary, speaking on the topic of "Christian Ordination as Discipleship to Jesus Christ and Ministry for Peace and Justice in an Ideologically Troubled World." |
