At the 2007 AERA... Along with a group science educators from the USA, Singapore, and China, Dr. Ling Liang gave a presentation on an analysis of science assessment in China at an international science education symposium, entitled "Alignment Between Science Curriculum and Assessment: A Comparison Between U.S. and Selected Asian Countries." The symposium session was listed as one of the conference highlights in the Learning and Instruction division.

Dr. Deborah Yost presented a paper entitled, “Constructing and Evaluating a Teacher Leader Model of Professional Development that Leads to Student Achievement.” This paper is a result of her work with Bob Vogel on Project Achieve, an urban, middle school professional development initiative.
