Professor Sid MacLeod Honored with Com's Shining Star

On Friday, April 20, professor Sidney J. MacLeod was honored with the Communication Department's 2007 Shining Star Award. Sid's repertoire is legendary, and he has played virtually every role on campus to perfection. As a professor, theater director, workshop facilitator, camera operator, video operator, Com Center tour guide, faculty senator, facilities/stage manager, and Sid-of-all-trades, he has touched many lives with his enthusiastic and infectious performances.

The Communication Department Advisory Board also announced the establishment of the Sidney J. MacLeod, Jr., Endowment Fund. The event kicked off efforts to raise $50,000 so that Sid's 50th year of teaching will be awarded with the first scholarship in his Sid's name in 2009. Congratulations, Sid!
