For approximately an hour on Saturday afternoon, April 19, Chelsea Clinton addressed a group of students, staff, and faculty gathered on the lawn outside of St. Neumann Hall and answered questions about her mother’s proposals for health care, student financial aid, energy, the war in Iraq, veteran benefits, and other major campaign issues. At the end of the session, Dr. Mary Ellen Balchunis-Harris, Assistant Professor of Political Science, presented Clinton with a La Salle tee shirt and asked her to pose with students for a photo.
As Clinton was leaving, Brother Joseph Grabenstein, F.S.C, asked her to autograph an Archives photo of her mother and presented her with copies of photos taken in 1992 when Hillary Clinton visited La Salle on behalf of her husband's campaign. |
