La Salle's Social Work Program and Advisory Board presented a panel entitled "Aging in the 21st Century" on September 16, 2008. Professor Mildred C. Joyner, Director of the Social Work Program at West Chester University, spoke about grandparents parenting their grandchildren. Larry Fiebert, MSW, presented on the importance of understanding the culture of people different from ourselves. Joanne Kline, Executive Director of the Montgomery County Office of Aging & Adult Services, focused on the latest developments in the field of long-term living. Jay Desai, CFP, presented on finances and how to avoid impoverishment in senior years.
