| Charles Desnoyers, Associate Professor of History and Director of La Salle's Asian Studies Minor, has been named chair of the Greater Philadelphia Asian Studies Consortium. The Consortium, under its funding body, the Greater Philadelphia Human Studies Council, serves Asian scholars and students at La Salle, Penn, St. Joseph's, Villanova, Temple, Haverford, Bryn Mawr, Ursinus, West Chester, University of Delaware, and the College of New Jersey. Plans are underway to hold the Consortium's annual undergraduate research conference in April in cooperation with La Salle's Diplomat in Residence Program. Dr. Desnoyers has also been asked to join the advisory board of the Mid-Atlantic Region Association for Asian Studies. |
