Desynoyers Presents at American Historical Association Conference
Charles Desnoyers, Associate Professor of History, presented a paper titled "Genocide, Modernity, and the Killing Fields of Jiangnan," at the 123rd Annual Meeting of the American Historical Association on January 5. The paper was part of a panel that Dr. Desnoyers had organized called "Genocide and Modernity: Beyond the West," and incorporated presentations on theoretical issues and specific genocidal episodes from China, Cambodia, and the Americas. After his presentation, Professor Desnoyers and Richard Kagan, a colleague on the panel, were asked to guest edit an upcoming issue of the Journal of Genocide Reserach.
