| On Saturday, April 4, La Salle hosted the Greater Philadelphia Asian Studies Consortium (GPASC)'s Fourth Undergraduate Student Research Conference. The Conference, held in St. Benilde Tower, featured 27 panelists from 8 of the Consortium's member institutions: La Salle, St. Joseph's, Villanova, Penn, Swarthmore, Haverford, and Bryn Mawr. Four La Salle students—Emily Hanewicz, Hoalinh Nguyen, Jignashia Adhuria, and Rajai Dias— presented papers on Tiananmen Square, Medical Outreach in Vietnam, Classical Music of Northern India, and Baghdad under the Mongols. Two first prizes of $150 and two second prizes of $100 were awarded to the four outstanding papers at the conference.
