| Eileen Pitt, BSW Class of 2010, is the 2009 winner of the Sister Ruth Mahar, D.C., Grace & Grit Scholarship Award given annually by the La Salle’s Social Work Advisory Board, to honor a students who balances the demands of academic excellence with responsibilities as a single parent. The Social Work Program has chosen to name the scholarship award in honor of Sister Ruth Mahar, given her commitment to women and children and her embodiment of the values of social work.
