Senior Social Work Major Presents Workshop on Cultural Competence
On April 27 Jessica Alsis, BSW '09, presented a half-day workshop entitled "Cultural Competence with the Blind & Visually Impaired" to her colleagues in the senior capstone course taught by Janine Mariscotti, Assistant Professor of Sociology, Social Work and Criminal Justice. Alsis completed a year-long internship at the Associated Services for the Blind in Philadelphia and developed the workshop from her internship experience.
