Meredith Martino Frank, Lecturer in the Communication Department, devised her own version of The Amazing Race for her two FYO classes to get them acquainted with downtown Philadelphia and public transportation. Last month, her freshmen traveled to center city to find clues at various locations such as the Franklin Institute, Philadelphia Inquirer, City Hall, and the Greater Philadelphia Tourism & Marketing Corporation. There they received clues from communication majors Eric Donovan ’10, Chino Hernandez, ’10, and Jennifer Gaus, ’12--clues, which eventually led them to the Comcast building, where Frank and Dr. Andrea Pampaloni, Assistant Professor of Communication, greeted them.
Pictured are four of the FYO students who took part in the race: Jose Bernier, Jazmyne Drake, Alyssa Mullen, Monique Parker.
