| Dr. Kevin J. Harty, Professor and Chair of English, spent the Thanksgiving break lecturing on "The Vikings in North America, in Russia, and at the Movies" in Riga, Latvia, and serving as external examiner for Ph.D. dissertations at the University of Paris and Exeter University in England. In addition, he has just published an essay, "Roll the Final Credits: Some Notes on Cinematic Depictions of the Death of Arthur," in The Arthurian Way of Death: The English Tradition, edited by Karen Cherewatuk and K. S. Whetter (D. S. Brewer, 2009). |
