| Senior Communication major Maria Muscara was recognized as the winner of the first John D. Graham Scholarship at the Public Relations Society of America Foundation's Paladin Dinner held in New York on March 18. Joining Muscara as the guests of John Graham, Chair of Fleishman-Hillard International Communications, were Dr. Lynne A. Texter, Chair of the Department of Communication, and Dr. Michael Smith, Advisor to La Salle's Public Relations Student Society of America Chapter. The invitation-only dinner celebrated the work of the PRSA Foundation, which provides support for student scholarships, academic research, and other initiatives that build greater awareness of the role of public relations in serving the public good. Muscara received the $5,000 scholarship for her commitment to public relations and for drawing connections between public relations, ethics, and public service. |
