Professor John Malone, B.A., ’52, begins his 51st year teaching at La Salle as an adjunct in the Department of English. Malone started teaching freshmen composition classes in 1960 in the Evening Division, while teaching English and Social Studies full-time for the Philadelphia School District. Since then, he has taught English 107 and 108 writing courses as well as English 150, an introductory literature course. At the English Department’s summer meeting held in August at the Metroplex, Malone was honored for his contributions to the Department over the past five decades.
