Dr. Phyllis Betz, Assistant Professor of English, and Dr. Kevin J. Harty, Professor and Chair of English, delivered papers at the 42^ndAnnual Popular Culture Association/American Cultural Association Convention in Boston, April 11-14. Betz delivered a paper entitled “Stepping Out of the Screen: Fictional Characters Writing Fiction,” as part of the convention subsection on Mystery and Detective Fiction. Harty delivered a paper entitled “King Arthur and the Boy Scouts,” as part of the convention subsection on Medieval Popular Culture.
