Kathleen A. Bogle, Ph.D., received her master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Joseph’s University in 1998 and her doctoral degree in Sociology from the University of Delaware in 2004. Her major areas of research interest include gender, sexual behavior and intimate relationships. Her book, Hooking Up: Sex, Dating, and Relationships on Campus, will be released by New York University Press in February 2008. She also has written an article on the subject of hooking up and dating, which will appear in Sociology Compass in January 2008. Dr. Bogle is also interested in the study of crime, particularly violence against women. She co-authored a paper on this subject (“Exploring the Connection between Pornography and Sexual Violence”), which appeared in Violence & Victims. Prior to joining La Salle, she was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology and Criminal Justice at Saint Joseph’s University, where she received the Faculty Merit Award for Teaching.
